The ARBO Herbarium (ARBO), part of the Arboretum Program, holds approximately 3,000 botanical specimens. Its collection is primarily composed of tree species from Atlantic Forest areas, especially from the Hileia Baiana in the extreme south of Bahia, as well as from regions of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. Most of the specimens were collected as part of program-related initiatives and projects, such as the National Action Plan (PAN), or through joint efforts with collaborating universities.
