The Ceratopogonidae Collection (CCER) presents types and not types specimens with sanitary and agricultural importance. A thousand of specimens are slide-mounted, dry on pins and samples preserved with naphthalene or in Kahle-Drietrich solution. The majority of specimens is found in the Neotropics including hematophagous, predators and pollinators genera. CCER present the biggest Brazilian collection of Culicoides with hundreds neotropical species and the “Saulo Soria Collection" with 36 pollinator’s species from Theobroma cacau from different countries. The collection preserves hundreds type species from 11 genera belonging to 13 countries of Latin America and U.S.A.
