The specimens are mounted in Berlese medium or Canada Balsam on glass slide and coverslip and part of this collection consist of the "Standard Collection" formed by type species and a sample, if possible, of 15 specimens of each species. All other specimens are kept in slides wooden boxes and organized in shelves by alphabetical order in accordance to each species. In the Standard Collection are deposited about 670 types belonging 126. In the collection there are also 12 species of sandflies fossil found in amber from the Dominican Republic. Some species deposited in the Collection of Sand flies do not exist in other collections, which makes her unique collection.
