Scope:

- Vegetation of the Atlantic Forest of the State of Rio de Janeiro and associated ecosystems;

- Phycological flora of the State of Rio de Janeiro;

HUNI has 6800 samples, divided into algae (66%), angiosperms (29%), bryophytes (5%) and ferns, licophytes and fungi (<1%).

In algae, HUNI has more than 1000 samples of Dictyotaceae collected along the Brazilian coast. HUNI still has 500 samples that mark the foundation of the herbarium and constitute the Claudia Bove Collection of Vascular Aquatic Plants.

Conditions for using the data

Conditions for use of HUNI Herbarium Collection data: (i) data are available for consultation and use for didactic purposes, dissemination and scientific research; (ii) the data may not be used for commercial purposes in any form without explicit written permission from the Curator; (iii) any use of the data must be accompanied by the origin of the original records and citation of the source; (iv) a copy of the publication where the records are cited must be sent by e-mail to the Curator; (v) users and their home institutions are responsible for the proper use of information and compliance with the conditions of use set forth herein; (vi) despite the accuracy of data entry efforts, we do not guarantee that our database is free of typos, identification or inaccuracies, so we request that any errors be reported to us so that we can correct them; as to the identification of the samples, it is necessary to evaluate the experience of the determiner and his knowledge in the group in question.
