The Mammals Collection of the MCN PUC Minas consists in approximately 3,700 specimens deposited and about 250 in preparation. The collection has a regional character, being more representative of the Cerrado biome. It has a holotype of a recently described species, Calassomys apicalis. The most of collection (Rodentia and Didelphimorphia) is prepared according to standard techniques of taxidermy, with skins and skeleton and to a lesser extent wet.

It is forbidden to sell the data available. The information, when used must be accompanied by citation of the source, mentioning the name of the collection and the institution is required.
