The didactical fruit collection of the Herbarium UFP belongs to the Botany Department from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil. It was founded in 2000, due to a PROENSINO project (with grants from the Academic Department from the UFPE). Nowadays, it has 444 fruit, of which 211 are from the atlantic rainforest, 161 are from the "caatinga"(a type of dry savannah found in the semi-arid region) and 14 are exotic.

Conditions for using the data

It is forbidden to sell/buy data from the Herbarium UFP; When any biological material from the Fruits and Seeds is cited, reference to the source is obliged.
