The Aplacophora collection of the Museum of Zoology “Prof. Adão José Cardoso” located at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) has nearly 250 lots. The material is preserved in alcohol 70%. There are specimens from Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro (Southeast of Brazil). The cataloging and digitalization of the collection are in progress using the MS-Access data bank manager. Most part of the collection has a scientific purpose, destined to researchers interested in Aplacophora.

Conditions for using the data

The amphibian collection data is available for inspection and use by the following conditions: a) any use of data must be acknowledged,with the indication of the origin of data, b) the Amphibian curator must be notified, c) data, even partial, can not be redistributed without explicit written permissionfrom the amphibian curator, d) a copy of any published material should be sent to the Museum of Zoology, e) users and their institutions are responsible for the properuse of the data. The accuracy of the identification of specimens and associated data is not guaranteed.
