The wood collection Joinvillea (JOIw) started its activities in 2005 and keeps 2100 specimens of woods, and in 1976 identified to species level. There are a total of 442 species distributed in 264 genera and 79 families. The woods are mainly derived from formations of Atlantic Forest in the state of SC.
